It is a challenge to take candid shots of people these days. There is the privacy thing... I have to rely on family and friends to satisfy my urge for capturing life in the moment.

My friend Donna is an avid gardener. She and her husband invited me for dinner one night and I arrived to find her gardening gloves resting on the gate. I imagined she placed them there on her way to begin fixing supper that evening.

My friend Cindy created hoops and brought a group of the hoops in various colors and sizes to the Chestertown Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. I sat with her one morning while one person after another came to try out the hoops, including this life-loving woman in the prime of her life.
