Boats, Docks, and Lighthouses

I gravitate to the waterfront. Perhaps this is because I was born and raised on the Eastern Shore as were many of my ancestors. My grandfather was a waterman and his grandfather was too. Who knows how many generations the love of being on and next to the water goes back - but it is certainly embedded in my DNA. People who visit the Eastern Shore or move here like boat pictures and ask me if I have any pictures of this or that harbor or river or sailing vessel or workboats. It is an easy order to fill because I enjoy photographing boats and docks and lighthouses. I do not like taking pictures of places where there is a lot of boat traffic and people because this is not the way I remember those places as a child.
